Wendy Armstrong
Wendy Armstrong is an independent researcher, policy analyst and consultant with a focus on the privately financed side of health care in Canada, the evaluation and marketing of new technologies and recognizing the importance of context. President and ED of the Consumers' Association of Canada (Alberta Chapter) for much of the 1990s, Ms. Armstrong is most well known for her influential 2000 report, The Consumer Experience with Cataract Surgery and Private Clinics in Alberta: Canada's Canary in the Mine Shaft (www.albertaconsumers.org).
During the past four years, her published research has focused on the landscape for chronic care needs. She is currently a member of board of PharmaWatch and Alberta Consumers' Association.
