Teresa Chiu

Ms. Chiu is Manager, Research and Development at COTA Health. She is also an Assistant Professor, Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy Department at the University of Toronto. Ms. Chiu is currently completing her PhD in the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation at the University of Toronto (in the eHealth Innovation and Information Management stream).

Teresa Chiu has studied service outcomes in home-based rehabilitation services for children and older adults, with a focus on home safety outcomes and family care giving. Her current research focus is on Internet-based support for family caregivers who take care of people with long-term disability. She also is interested in the support needs of immigrant families who speak English as a second language.

Ms. Chiu was involved in the following M-THAC projects as an M-THAC fellow:
